These islands are the best of the best when it comes to living in a perfect world. The taxes are ultra low, and the people are ultra friendly. The government is extremely rich, however they are certainly not selfish. The government of the Fir Tree Islands does whatever they can to use their money responsibly. Although the regular taxes are low, there is the homeowners tax which funds 90% of the government. This tax is extremely high, which is why this place is so exclusive. You may be wondering how the country gets the other 10% funds. Well, that's mainly the regular daily taxes, donations, and funding from other countries such as France and Switzerland. France doesn't only provide funding, but also military support incase of war. The Fir Tree Islands official country name is Firren Republic. The country's official languages are Simlish, English, French, and German. The country's Population is mainly Simlish, French, American, German, and Swiss. When people first come here, they usually wonder about why there are so many fir trees. Many years ago, there was a strange virus going on, however it did not affect humans, only plants. It caused the trees to multiply very quickly. Though this was great for the air and the paper companies, its was also an uncomfortable situation for the government. Eventaully, trees started growing on roads and in cities. Many cities were shrunk because of this. Eventually the tree virus got so bad, the scientists in Oakville desprately were looking for what was causing the trees to multiply so much. While the scientists were researching, the tree cutters were cutting. Eventually the virus went away, and the trees stopped growing. People decided that the trees were a great addition to the islands because it made them so unique. now that the trees are full grown, the combination of ocean air and clean oxygen make this place a great way to cure almost any breathing problems including snoring, and very mild cases of lung cancer.
